The Bexar Arms AR-15 Lower Receivers are precision CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum forgings and finished in accordance to MIL-A-8625 Type III Class 2 hard coat anodizing for a rich and protective matte black color.

Our lowers feature a full M16 style fire control group pocket as well as a flared and beveled magwell to help facilitate fast and smooth magazine insertion.

We spec'd our lowers to have the upper receiver lug pockets machined to the absolute bottom of TDP specification. If your upper receiver lugs are machined on the high end of TDP spec, you will have a snug fit with little to no wobble. If your upper receiver lugs are on the small end of TDP spec, you will experience some wobble. If your upper receiver lugs are larger than TDP spec, some hand fitting will be required. We see the most issued coming from uppers that are painted/coated and already have lugs on the high end of TDP spec, as well as uppers from manufacturers that do not follow the TDP specifications.

Additionally, we spec the safety selector detent bore diameter to be at the very bottom of TDP spec as well. The safety selector detent will need to be pushed gently into place, it will not drop in freely. As long as the detent itself is within TDP spec, it will fit without needing any significant force applied. Part of what contributes to a spongy feeling safety is if the detent can rock back and forth within its bore. By having the detent bore as tight as possible without interfering with the detent's movement, you get the the most crisp feeling safety. The quality of your safety will also play into the feel, but no safety will feel crisp if the detent bore is oversized.

Some minor surface irregularities are an inherent byproduct of the forging process and are not considered blemishes.

    Stripped Lower

This is quality that other manufacturers should aspire to. I am a machinist, so I appreciate the attention to detail on tolerances, finishes, and deburring the insides.
