Our Enhanced Firing Pin is designed to work in any AR-15 bolt carrier group to increase reliability in igniting tough Soviet primers. By extending further out of the bolt face, our Enhanced Firing Pin is able to ignite deeply set and hard primers commonly found in most steel cased ammo such as 7.62x39, 5.45x39, as well as steel cased .223 Rem, 6.5 Grendel, etc. Made to the same strict tolerances and with the same materials as Mil-Spec firing pins, our Enhanced Firing Pins are guaranteed to give you a lifetime of reliable and trouble free use!
Mil-Spec AR-15/M16 Firing Pin Protrusion:

Bexar Arms 7.62x39 AR-15 Firing Pin Protrusion:
.040" - .050"
Drop in "cassette" style of trigger are not recommended for 7.62x39 AR builds due to the higher chance that their hammer springs are weaker than Mil-Spec style triggers. This may lead to light primer strikes even if used with our Enhanced Firing Pin.
A note from Phillip: In some cases, an Extra Power Hammer Spring may be also be necessary along with this firing pin for reliable primer ignition. We recommend trying the firing pin by itself first before deciding if you need to buy an extra power hammer spring or not. Shooting corrosive ammunition? Consider using one of our Black Nitride gas tubes for increased corrosion resistance and durability!

Exceeded My Expectations
Replaced my stock firing pin with this one and it fired ALL Wolf and TulAmmo 7.62 that mis-fired from my last outing. I saved all of them hoping that this enhanced firing pin can at least fire some of the cartridges. To my surprise, it fired all of them.

Amazing product
I purchased the enhanced firing pin after I kept having light primer strikes. I was getting light primer strikes on both steel & brass cases. After buying this Bexar arms firing pin i have gone through 2k rounds of steel casing and 1k through brass casing with absolutely no issues at all. Thanks for the fast shipping and well made firing pin.

7.62x39 enhanced firing pin
Ordered two, will order more. First was good fit and greatly reduced ftf with steel case in my bca upper(7.62x39). Second was a bit snug where it goes through the bolt face not allowing it to protrude beyond the original pin. However its an easy fix and does have the extra length, so a little effort and itll be gtg as well. Be sure to check it, if it got stuck with the pin through the hole it could probably dump a mag quick….at least til it beat itself into the right diameter. Not a reason not to buy, just a reason to use common sense.

Super quick delivery
Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to use the enhanced firing pin due to 2 weeks of rain. But I did install it in my ar pistol and it fits fine. I can actually see that's it's slightly longer than the standard firing pin. However, the best part about this whole order was the speed that my order was sent out in. I ordered and within 2 hours the pin was already shipped! 2 days later it's at my house. I ordered from Bexar Arms because they're a Texas local. Thank you for the handwritten note and sticker!

Well made, excellent upgrade
Ordered this upgraded firing pin for my 7.62x39 AR and got it in a few days. Seems to be well made and it eliminated the common light primer strikes associated with using steel case ammo. Definitely recommend and the hand written note on the invoice was an added touch.

I recently purchased this enhanced firing pin for my AR-47 build. I previously had issues with my stock firing pin. After some research, I found Bexar Arms. I received my purchase within days, even during the bad snow storm in Texas, during the time of ordering.
