Behind the gas block will be a Government profile tapering to a shoulder and 1.1" journal .625 gas block. In front of the gas block, the barrel will continue straight to a 1/2x28 muzzle with full shoulder.

Quality is imbued into our barrels from the start. We start with the best materials, either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless. From there, each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace by precision custom hardened gauges.

Note from Phillip: Due to the short dwell of the barrel, the gas port will be larger than most barrels. Customers are encouraged to use an adjustable gas block for optimum functionality. PLEASE NOTE that the Aero Precision .625" Adjustable Gas Block is NOT compatible with this barrel due to the adjustment screw protruding further forward than other options. If you'd like to run an adjustable gas block, the Superlative Arms .625" AGB is highly recommended.

Gas Block Dimple Service: If you're planning on using a set screw style of gas block with this barrel, we highly recommend choosing the dimple service. The dimple ensures that a set screw gas block is perfectly aligned with the gas port and cannot rotate or slide out of position under extreme use.

Feed Ramp Polishing Service: Same as the Feed Ramp Polishing service we provide separately, this can help smooth out feeding and possibly prevent some feeding issues. This service is best done with the upper receiver in hand to match the feed ramps in the barrel to the upper, but can be done with just the barrel.
